Stoddart Infrastructure can also provide complimentary street furniture in Australia through our specialised Town & Park street furniture brand.
Stoddart Infrastructure has been commissioned by a significant number of councils, state governments and private projects across Australia and New Zealand. This experience allows Stoddart Infrastructure to utilise a wealth of knowledge for designing, manufacturing and installing structures, shelters, walkways, urban infrastructure and street furniture in Australia for Government as well as private organisations.
Functionality, durability and appropriateness to the urban setting are of utmost importance for all Stoddart Infrastructure projects and the best solution for each project comes from an understanding of its true needs. Rather than imposing a strictly defined product range, Stoddart Infrastructure utilises its own design team to tailor the ideal range to create the best possible outcome for all projects.
Moorabbin Bus Interchange
Using artist’s impressions, Stoddart Infrastructure designed, fabricated, and installed a 43m, shelter and safety barrier combination as part of a major upgrade of a key bus interchange in the suburb of Moorabbin. Based off the popular Evo shelter design, the solution has successfully created a visual and physical anchor to the bus stop and more importantly provided a safe, comfortable, and protective area for public transport customers. Key features of the new Moorabbin bus interchange include vandal-resistant design principles, solar powered lighting, custom perforated mesh, DDA compliance, and protection from - but also access to - the rail infrastructure behind.
Stoddart Infrastructure has been the leading supplier of commercial walkways and shelters for the redevelopment of Melbourne Airport. These products can also be commonly seen throughout other jobs all over the country in high traffic transit areas. Total ongoing job size exceeds $1 million.
Gordon Station Interchange
New South Wales
Working in conjunction with A.W. Edwards and on behalf of Transport of NSW, Stoddart has lent its experience in patron-focused transport products to the recent Gordon Station Interchange upgrade. Stoddart’s extensive knowledge and resources in steel fabrication were key to designing, fabricating, and installing several large-span, walkway-style bus shelters as part of the project. The structures, that both visually and physically integrate into the surrounding interchange infrastructure, provide direction and protection for public transport patrons with a large-span cantilever design, high output lighting, and comfortable seating and ancillary street furniture.
Stoddart’s contribution to the upgrade builds on our longstanding relationship with Transport for NSW and perfectly showcases our ability develop solutions that both blend with and define their environment, as well as satisfy our customers’ needs.
